Tires are curved, not elongated, but round, and the embossing often lacks the contrast required for evaluation using 2D inspection solutions. The senswork Tire Code Reader is a turnkey, enclosed OCR inspection station through which your assembly line runs with the tires mounted. Only a short stop without rotation is necessary in the inspection station so that the code on the tire can be completely captured and evaluated. The senswork machine vision software VisionCommander® excels with maximum reliability thanks to deep learning-based OCR. The result is visualized directly at the station on a panel.
The senswork Tire Code Reader is so robust that both new and used tires can be evaluated. Reliable results are achieved even in the presence of dust, dirt, and wear. The AI-based OCR system also recognizes different tire sizes without training. For example, tires can be sorted automatically and the quantity of each tire type documented. Statistical evaluations are also possible.
