BayBG invests in senswork

Written by senswork | August 10, 2022

Burghausen, 10. August 2022Founded in 2011, senswork GmbH, an expert in industrial image processing and optical inspection, continues to grow and is expanding its business model to include additional competencies in robot vision and deep learning. To realize the project, the company can rely on mezzanine capital (silent partnership) from BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft.

senswork stands for turnkey optical, camera-based inspection systems. This includes, for example, the surface inspection of incoming as well as outgoing products. The 3D inspection continuously tracks the shape, position and orientation of workpieces in the production process. A completeness check or and sorting function is also possible. senswork's Munich Innovation Lab is also developing new solutions for image and data evaluation based on current research results on artificial intelligence. "'Deep Learning' is no longer just a future trend in our business field, but is already in use as a daily tool in our inspection systems," says Managing Director Roman Rieger.

The senswork solutions, which feature in-house developed software and hardware, are used in numerous industries - for example, in the automotive, electronics, or mechanical engineering industries - for automation and quality assurance. At the same time, the testing software enables seamless, automated documentation.

BayBG Investment Manager Ulrich Strobel: "Automation and digitalization continue and more and more automation solutions are based on machine vision. The market will thus continue to realize steady growth in the future. Senswork's sales have been growing at double-digit rates for years, and with its newly developed 3D technologies combined with a high level of software expertise and innovative strength, as well as its experienced management, senswork has all the prerequisites to further expand its market position," says BayBG Investment Manager Ulrich Strobel, outlining the company's future prospects.

Rainer Obergrußberger and Roman Rieger, the two founders and managing directors of senswork, are also convinced of the success of the cooperation: "BayBG has a great deal of experience in established medium-sized companies, but also in cooperating with innovative companies of the future. We therefore see Bayerische Beteiligungsgeschäft as the ideal partner to support us in a variety of ways in our innovations with mezzanine, without restricting our decision-making authority."
